Oregon Health Plan (OHP) Coverage for Addiction Treatment in Central Oregon
Most OHP members pay nothing.
If you have the Oregon Health Plan, outpatient addiction treatment at Rock Recovery is typically covered in full. No deductible to meet first, no bill afterward.
What the Oregon Health Plan actually covers
The Oregon Health Plan is Oregon's Medicaid program, and it covers substance use disorder treatment as a health benefit, the same way it covers a broken arm or a chronic condition. That is not a technicality. It means that for most members, the outpatient treatment we provide in Redmond costs nothing out of pocket, and there is no deductible standing between you and your first appointment.
Rock Recovery is certified by the Oregon Health Authority and accepts OHP for our outpatient substance use services. That includes the assessment that starts your care, individual counseling, group treatment, early intervention, and peer support from a certified recovery mentor. You do not need a referral from a doctor to call us, and you do not need to have tried and failed at something else first.
In Deschutes, Crook, and Jefferson counties, OHP benefits are administered through a coordinated care organization, and most Central Oregon members are enrolled with PacificSource Community Solutions. If you are not sure which plan you are on, that is a completely normal thing not to know. Call us and we will look it up with you.

Individual counseling and group treatment for drug and alcohol use, scheduled around work and family. Covered.

For use that has become risky but has not taken over your life yet. Getting in early is the cheapest and easiest version of this. Covered.

Do not have OHP? You may still qualify.
The Oregon Health Plan covers a large share of Oregonians, and the income limits are higher than most people assume. There is no premium for most members, and enrollment is open all year, not just during a window in the fall. If you are between jobs, working part time, self employed, or your hours just got cut, it is worth checking.

Ask us for help with it
We do this often. Call the office and we will walk you through the application and what to have in front of you before you start.
Start care while it processes
If your application is pending, tell us. We will talk through your options so a paperwork delay does not become a reason to wait.
How to start, if you already have OHP
- 1
Call (541) 234-3081
One phone call, Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm. Tell us what is going on in whatever words you have for it.
- 2
We verify your coverage with you
We check your plan and confirm what it covers before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises later.
- 3
Come in for your assessment
A licensed clinician meets with you, listens, and recommends a level of care. Nothing is decided about you without you.
- 4
Start treatment on a schedule that fits
Individual counseling, groups, and peer support built around your work and your family, not the other way around.
More detail on what the first visit is like is on our admissions page. If a court or probation requirement brought you here, start with DUII classes and treatment.
