Mental health services

Licensed, judgment-free counseling in Redmond for trauma, anxiety, depression, and the relationships that shape your life, in person or by telehealth, from people who meet you where you are.

What counseling looks like here

A quiet place to work things out

Counseling at Rock Recovery is unhurried and personal. You sit down with a licensed clinician, like Shawn Reece, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's in mental health counseling, and talk about what's actually going on, at a pace that feels safe.

Because we were founded by people in recovery, our counselors understand what it means to carry hard things and still show up. That shapes everything about how we work: warm, person-first, and without a shred of judgment.

Sessions are available in person at our Redmond office or by telehealth anywhere in Oregon, Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm.

What we help with

Whatever brought you here, chances are we've walked with someone through it before.

Trauma & PTSD

Trauma-focused counseling, including Seeking Safety groups led by Lindsay Hathaway, helps you build stability before revisiting painful ground.

Anxiety & depression

General counseling for the heaviness, worry, and low motivation that make everyday life feel harder than it should.

Anger management

Learn what sits underneath the anger and practice real tools for responding instead of reacting.

Self-esteem & self-worth

Rebuild a steadier, kinder relationship with yourself, especially after seasons of shame or setback.

Family & relationships

Work through conflict, communication, and trust with the people who matter most to you.

Parenting & codependency

Support for parenting challenges, healthy boundaries, codependency patterns, and practical life skills.

Co-occurring care

Mental health and recovery, under one roof

Anxiety, trauma, and depression rarely stay in their own lane, for many people they're tangled up with substance use. Because Rock Recovery offers licensed counseling alongside addiction treatment, you don't have to piece together care from two different providers. One team builds one plan, and your counselor and treatment staff work side by side.

Good questions

Counseling FAQs

Do you take insurance for counseling?

Yes. We accept most major insurance plans for mental health services, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, First Choice Health, Medicaid, Medicare, Moda Health, Oregon Health Plan (OHP), PacificSource, and Regence. If you’re unsure about your coverage, call us and we’ll help you check.

How much does counseling cost without insurance?

Individual sessions are $225. We also offer a sliding scale based on income, because we don’t believe cost should be the reason someone goes without care. Ask about it when you call, there’s no awkwardness on our end.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. You can meet with your counselor by secure video from anywhere in Oregon, or in person at our Redmond office at 1243 SW Highland Ave, Suite C. Many clients mix both depending on their week.

Do I need to be in addiction treatment to see a counselor here?

No. Our mental health counseling stands on its own, you can come to us for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, or anything else, whether or not substance use is part of your story. If it is, we’re equipped to treat both together.

How soon can I be seen?

It varies with counselor availability, but we work to get people in quickly, reach out and we’ll give you an honest answer the same day. Call (541) 234-3081, Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm.
